About Dr. Richardson
Dr. Richardson bring extensive experience in high-risk obstetrics and fetal imaging to Valley Perinatal Services. He earned his medical degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, and completed his fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Brown University. He is an active member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM).
His clinical expertise covers the full spectrum of high-risk care, beginning with preconception counseling for women with underlying medical illnesses, history of adverse outcomes, or those navigating surrogacy and assisted reproductive technology. Dr. Richardson specializes in managing complex maternal conditions, including cardiac disease, endocrine disorders (diabetes and thyroid), thrombophilia, and complications related to prior surgeries such as gastric bypass.
Dr. Richardson provides comprehensive care for obstetric challenges including recurrent pregnancy loss, cervical incompetence, and opioid dependence. He has specialized training in fetal complications such as growth disorders and Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS). He is skilled in performing advanced procedures including cervical and abdominal cerclage, amniocentesis, percutaneous umbilical cord sampling, and in-utero fetal transfusions.
